1997 Rams Softball

WAC CHAMPIONS

With two wins over the Aztecs Friday the Rams wrap-up their first ever WAC title. The Rams move on to post season play next weekend in the NCAA tourneyment. See WAC CHAMPIONS for more information.

The Rams remain at #10 in the coaches' poll this week. The Rams split double headers with Utah last weekend in Salt Lake City. The Rams started the weekend with a 3-2 win on Friday before being blanked 0-7 in the second game of the doubleheader. Saturday's outing had a more ominous start with a 2-3 loss before the Rams recovered to win 10-7. The games come at the end of a 10 game span in seven days. The Rams finished the strect 8-2.

The Rams return to action this Friday at Ram Field when they take on the San Diego State Aztecs. Following last weekend's outing the Rams have cinched at least a tie for the WAC championship. Colorado State is now 47-12 overall.
