The Border War 1997

At 1:00 pm this afternoon the Rams will take to the field in Lariame's War Memorial Stadium to play the latest installment in one of their longest rivalries. The Rams and Pokes have met almost every year since 1899. In each of the past three seasons the results of the Wyoming - Colorado State matchup have had direct impact on each team's post season hopes. Today the same it true again.

For The Rams this is a must win if they are to keep their post season hopes alive. At 2-1 in the WAC the Rams' best chance for post season play comes from a victory today followed by a Wyoming defeat of Air Force.

For The Pokes it is a necessary win to keep pace with Air Force who currently leads the division. Wyoming overcame a 24-13 Ram lead in the last two minutes of last year's game and will look to control today's game from the start.
