Ram - Falcon Post Game Notes

The Rams were shut out tonight for the first time since 1983. It was the first shut-out at home since 1973.

Nothing went the Rams way tonight after leaving the tunnel as the yellow and white smoke the Rams were beaten in every way on the field. When the Falcons let down and the Rams started to get a drive together, the Rams beat themselves with penalties.

Moreno had a career low six completions for a regular season game. His all-time low was five vs. Kansas State in the 1995 Holiday Bowl.

What lies ahead for the Rams is a serious need for some soul searching and making sure this doesn't happen again. They have in the last years been beaten by better teams, they have played close games with lesser teams, but they have always found a way to put it together.

"They played well and deserve a lot of credit. We had not had a lot of those penalties and mistakes until this point. It we're going to win we have to play better than we did tonight. It is a long season and there is plenty of football left to be played,"Coach Lubick said after tonight's game.

The Rams return to action in two weeks when they face the Hawaii Rainbows in their homecoming game at Hughes Stadium.

Saturday's loss is the first time Coach Lubick has lost a conference opener.

Be sure to tune in to RamLine tomorrow for post-game interview video.

From Hughes Stadium this is Joshua Brauer.
