Several Rams received postseason honors upon completion of the 1996 season. Calvin Branch was named MVP of the Blue-Gray Classic after rushing for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Erik Olson was named first-team Freshman All-America by The Sporting News. Myron Terry was one of 10 Division IA players nationally named to the 1996 CFA Good Works Team for community service. Branch, along with OT Mark Rogowski and DE Adrian Ross were named first-team all-WAC.
