The Colorado State University Rams defeated the San Diego State University Aztecs in both games of a doubleheader. The Rams took the first game with a 5-2 win before settling the second game 7-3.

The Aztecs came off a first-ever road WAC sweep, defeating UNLV and New Mexico. Wednesday's game in San Diego leaves was the Aztecs first game in school history as a ranked team.

The Rams are now 13-6 on the season and 4-2 in the WAC. Friday the Rams travel to San Jose where they face Loyola Marymount and Notre Dame at the NIST. Saturday and Sunday they will compete in bracket play at the NIST.
