Tucson, Ariz. -- The Rams fell to 8-2 on the season with a win and a loss at on the first day of an altered Hillenbrand Invitational Tournament. The tournament was scheduled to begin at Hillenbrand field on Friday but was delayed to Saturday and moved across Tucson because of rain.

The Rams beat Louisiana State in a 3-2 decision early Saturday. Later in the day the Rams dropped a 4-3 decision to Kansas.

The Rams will face DePaul, Arizona and Kent State on Sunday. DePaul which began its season this weekend is 1-2 after 10-0 and 8-0 losses to Kansas and Arizona. DePaul rebounded and pounded Kent State 20-4. Kent State dropped both of its games Saturday to Arizona and DePaul. Kent State is 0-2 on the season.
