Men's Basketball Team Finish Off Rams to End Regular Season

FORT COLLINS-- The Rams ended their regular season Saturday with a 59-58 win over UNLV. The victory which gives the Rams an even 20 wins on the season will not affect their 4th place seed in the WAC tournament. The tournament which begins Friday will be played at UNLV's stadium in Las Vegas.

Matt Barnett had only 7 points which follows on his previous career high 21 in his last outing.

The Rams victory came after several lead changes and despite being outscored 15-4 on turnovers.

The Rams took a two point deficit into the locker room at the half after a close first half. A 33-30 second brought the Rams their 1 point victory.

IN THE TOP FIVE... Colorado State's 20th win places this year's team in the top five all time winningest teams at CSU. Four teams have won 23, 22,

RAMS EARN #4 SEED... Colorado State will be the fourth seed for the WAC's Pacific Division in this week's conference tournament. The Rams will face the Mountain Division #5 seed at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 4. The winner will face the Pacific Division #1 seed Utah, Thursday night, Mar. 6. Colorado State's opponent -depending on game outcomes today will be either SMU, TCU, Or Rice.

ON THE ROAD... The Rams will practice at Moby arena Monday morning before traveling to Las Vegas. Tuesday morning the Rams will shoot in the Thomas 'n Mac center before their game Tuesday.
