RAMS TAKE TOURNEY TITLE... Colorado State went 5-1 last week in winning the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas. The Rams defeated Creighton 5-0 and Sam Houston State 11-3 Friday, Texas A&M 10-2 and Sam Houston State 8-0 Saturday and lost to Creighton 4-0 before ending the tournament with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Texas A&M Sunday. Sophomore Kelley Spence hit a three-run home run with two outs in the top of the seventh inning to give the Rams the victory over the Aggies in the finale and the tourmanent title. Colorado State tied with Creighton at 5-1 but took first due to run differential. The Rams now stand at 7-1 on the season.

HEADING TO THE DESERT... This weekend, the Rams travel to Tucson, Ariz., for the Hillenbrand Invitational hosted by the University of Arizona. Friday, the Rams face LSU and Florida, Saturday they face Kansas, Kent State and 1996 national champion Arizona, and Sunday they meet DePaul.
