* F. Edward Dudek, professor and chairman of the department of anatomy and neurobiology, discusses "Axonal Sprouting and Synaptic Reorganization: A Working Hypothesis Concerning the Cellular Basis of Chronic Epileptogenesis"at 4:10 p.m. in the anatomy and neurobiology department conference room in the Anatomy/Zoology Building. The talk is part of the Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Neurosciences seminar series.

THURS., MARCH 5

* The Policy Studies Institute hosts a discussion by Christina Hoff Sommers based on her book, "Who Stole Feminism,"at 3:30 p.m. in Room 230 Lory Student Center. Sommers, a former professor of philosophy at Clark University, is a member of the American Enterprise Institute. Call 491-6225 for more information on the spring colloquium series.

* The University Orchestra and University Singers perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Theatre. Tickets cost $2 for nonstudents and $1 for students.

FRI., MARCH 6

* Norman Myers, Volvo Environment Prize Winner, discusses "The U.S. Stake in the Global Environment"at noon in Room A101 Microbiology Building and "Environment Exodus: An Emerging Crisis in the Global Arena"at 4:10 p.m. in Room C142 Clark Building. The talk is hosted by John Loomis from the department of agricultural and resource economics and sponsored by the economics and philosophy departments, the Graduate School and Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory.

SAT., MARCH 14

* "Honoring Tradition,"The 17th annual Native American Student Services' Pow Wow, begins at 10 a.m. and runs throughout the day in the Lory Student Center Main Ballroom. Events include Gourd Dances, Grand Entries at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and a traditional feast at 5 p.m. Events are free and open to the public. Call 491-1332 for more information.

MON., MARCH 16

* An international education symposium and evening celebration to honor Maurice Albertson, professor emeritus of civil engineering, begins with a symposium from 1:30-5 p.m. in Room 228 Lory Student Center. Sessions will include a review of international projects and education at Colorado State, a talk on the international dimensions of the northern Colorado community and discussions of the history and future of international students at Colorado State. Albertson will give a talk at the evening celebration, which includes a reception and dinner beginning at 5:15 p.m. in the Cherokee Park Room of the Lory Student Center. Cost for the evening program is $10 for students and $15 for nonstudents; registration is necessary. For more information about the symposium or to register for the evening program, call the civil engineering office at 491-5048.

* Cellist Barbara Thiem performs in a Recital Series concert at 7:30 p.m. in Room 203 Music Building. Tickets cost $3 for nonstudents and $2 for students.
