Thursday, July 16, 1998
FORT COLLINS--Colorado State University's Gustafson Gallery
will feature an exhibition July 16-September 11 titled "Fiber
Explorations."
The exhibition will feature original designs by Eulanda
Sanders, a fiber artist and faculty member in the university's
department of design, merchandising and consumer sciences. The
show opening will be from 4-6 p.m. July 16 in the Gustafson
Gallery, located in Room 145 of the Gifford Building on campus.
The gallery is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and all exhibits are
free and open to the public.
More than 25 garments designed by Sanders over the last 10
years will be displayed. The exhibit will include work made from
traditional fibers such as cotton yarns, to more novelty media,
such as polyurethane and metal ribbons.
"This exhibition is a turning point in my creative life,"
said Sanders. "It's an opportunity to reflect on my work and
envision future projects for my own creative outlet and for my
students."
Sanders has won awards in international competitions for
both technical merit and fiber art.
For additional information, call Sanders at (970) 491-7356.
