Colorado State Names Agricultural Sciences Development Head

FORT COLLINS--The College of Agricultural Sciences at
Colorado State University has appointed Julie Karbula director of
development for the college.
Karbulafls fund-raising duties will include coordinating
major gifts and annual giving while working with alumni and
friends of the college in addition to foundations and
corporations.
She has worked in fundraising at Colorado State for five and
a half years. Most recently, she served as director of
development for University Libraries and assistant director of
annual giving. Karbula joined the department of annual giving in
1992 to manage the "Call A Ram" phonathon program in its
conversion from a manual system to automated dialing equipment.
A graduate of Colorado State with a bachelorfls degree in
journalism, Karbula earned a master of science degree in
telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Prior to joining Colorado State, she was a telecommunications
project manager with J.P. Morgan and Co. in New York City. She
also worked as a newspaper editor and reporter.
The College of Agricultural Sciences includes the
departments of agricultural and resource economics, animal
sciences, bioagricultural sciences and pest management,
horticulture and landscape architecture and soil and crop
sciences.
