Colorado State University's College Of Applied Human Sciences Names Development Director

FORT COLLINS--Colorado State University's College of Applied
Human Sciences has appointed Camy Cooney as the new director of
development for the college.
Cooney's duties at Colorado State will include leading fund-
raising efforts and working with alumni, donors and friends of
the College of Applied Human Sciences. Cooney will coordinate
annual giving and major gifts in addition to foundation,
corporate and individual gifts.
Cooney will work with the School of Education and the seven
departments that are housed in the College of Applied Human
Sciences. The departments are design, merchandising and consumer
sciences; exercise and sport science; food science and human
nutrition; human development and family studies; manufacturing
technology and construction management; occupational therapy; and
social work.
Prior to her appointment at Colorado State, Cooney served as
a development officer for the Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation.
Her experience also includes work in fund raising, marketing and
public relations at the Fort Collins Area United Way.
Cooney earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive
designation from the National Society of Fund Raising Executives
in June 1997. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and
public relations from Kearney State College, now the University
of Nebraska at Kearney.
