Children's Trust Fund Accepting Requests For Funding

Friday, November 7, 1997

FORT COLLINS--Private, non-profit and public organizations that wish to apply for funds for child abuse and neglect prevention and education programs are encouraged to submit requests by Nov. 14 to The Colorado Children's Trust Fund.

Available funding is expected to be up to $400,000 for the fiscal year, running from July 1, 1998 to June 30, 1999. For abstract requirements, call the Children's Trust Fund at (303) 446-8860. Requirements also may be picked up at the Children's Trust Fund office, 110 16th St., Suite 335, Denver, CO.

After approval of selected abstracts, full applications for consideration of funding will be requested by the fund's board of directors in January. The board's invitation to submit a full proposal does not guarantee funding. All final proposals will be due by March 16, 1998.

The Colorado Children's Trust Fund is administered by Colorado State University's department of social work in the College of Applied Human Sciences. The trust fund is supported by an additional $10 fee on Colorado marriage licenses, federal grants and contributions.

For further information, please call (303) 446-8860.
