Yates To Praise Campus Response To Flood At All-University Gathering; Photos From Address, Picnic Available On The Internet

FORT COLLINS--Colorado State University President Albert C.
Yates will today praise the campus community for its response to
the flood that hit campus and set the goals for the upcoming
year.
In a departure from tradition, Yates will deliver his annual
state of the university address on the university's historic
Oval. The president's speech will be followed by a free picnic
for the campus community with entertainment and recreational
activities. The speech, which will begin at 11:15 a.m., will be
followed immediately by a photo of the faculty, students and
staff gathered at the Oval, taken from the second floor of the
administration building. Photographers interested in shooting

along with other photos from the gathering, will be available on
the Internet for use by media in the late afternoon following the
