Colorado State University Presents 1997 Fall And 1998 Spring Reading Series

FORT COLLINS--Nationally recognized poet and author Donald
Revell will begin Colorado State University's fall reading series
with a reading from his work Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Room 228
Lory Student Center on campus.
The reading series will continue with six free events where
authors read from their works and offer book signings to the
community. Visiting readers include Alison Lurie, a 1985 Pulitzer
Prize winner. John Calderazzo, professor of creative nonfiction,
and SueEllen Cambell, professor of English, both from Colorado
State, will be reading from their works as well. Other readers
are third year master of fine arts fiction or poetry candidates
who will read from their creative works.
Revell is author of poetry collections including "From the
Abandoned Cities", "The Gaza of Winter", "New Dark Ages",
"Erasures", and "Beautiful Shirt". He has also published a
translation of Apollinaire's "Alcools". Revell's honors include
1988 and 1995 fellowships from the National Endowment for the
Arts, the Ingram Merrill Foundation, and a 1993 Guggenheim
Fellowship.
