Five Finalists Identified In Search For Colorado State University Cooperative Extension Associate Director

FORT COLLINS--Colorado State University Cooperative
Extension has announced the five finalists for the newly created
associate-director position. Clifton Barber, chair of the 10-
member search committee and a Colorado State Cooperative
Extension gerontology specialist, said candidates will be on
campus for interviews May 27-28.
The following are the candidates, their qualifications and
the times and locations of their interviews.
* Mary McPhail Gray is a Kansas State University Cooperative
Extension associate dean and human ecology assistant director
and professor in the School of Family Studies and Human
Development. Gray received her bachelor's degree in textiles from
Iowa State University in 1963, her master's in child development
from Michigan State University in 1969 and her doctorate in
family ecology from Michigan State in 1980. Gray's open forum is
scheduled at 10 a.m. May 27.
* Paul Gutierrez is a Colorado State Cooperative Extension
agriculture and resource economics specialist and associate
professor. Gutierrez received his bachelor's in farm and ranch
management from the University of Wyoming in 1980, his master's
in production economics from New Mexico State University in 1982
and his doctorate in agricultural economics from Oklahoma State
University in 1985. Gutierrez's open forum is scheduled at 11
a.m. May 27.
* Lynda C. Harriman is Oklahoma State University Cooperative
Extension assistant director, associate dean and professor of the
College of Environmental Sciences. Harriman received her
bachelor's in home economics education from Colorado State in
1962, her master's in child development/home economics from the
University of Illinois in 1971 and her doctorate in home
economics education from the University of Illinois in 1979.
Harriman's open forum is scheduled at
9 a.m. May 28.
* Dennis Lamm is the Colorado State Cooperative Extension
assistant director of agriculture and natural resources and a
professor of animal sciences. Lamm received his bachelor's in
animal husbandry from Delaware Valley College in 1969, his
master's in animal sciences from Iowa State University in 1972
and his doctorate in ruminant nutrition from the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln in 1976. Lamm's open forum is scheduled at 10
a.m. May 28.
* Steve Padgitt is the Iowa State University Cooperative
Extension program director of public service and administration
in agriculture and a sociology professor. Padgitt received his
bachelor's in agricultural journalism from Iowa State University
in 1965, his master's in rural sociology from the University of
Missouri in 1967 and his doctorate in sociology from Iowa State
in 1971. Padgitt's open forum is scheduled at 11 a.m. May 28.

Room B101 of the Natural and Environmental Sciences Building on
the Colorado State campus or from five off-campus locations:
* Colorado State Denver Center, Room 605, 110 16th St.,
Denver;
* Logan County office of Colorado State Cooperative
Extension, 508 S. 10th Ave., Sterling;
* University of Southern Colorado, Ethel Arthur conference
room in the library, Pueblo;
* Grand Junction State Office Building, 4th floor Video
conference Room, 222 S. 6th St., Grand Junction; and
* Fort Lewis College, Room 118 Herperus Hall, 1000 Rim Dr.,
Durango.
