Philanthropic Estate-Planning Seminar Set For May 8

FORT COLLINS--Philanthropists interested in estate planning
and charitable gift giving will benefit from a seminar presented
at Colorado State University by a nationally recognized speaker
on planned giving.
Scott Fithian, founder and president of Legacy Advisory
Associates Inc., will discuss how individuals can effectively
accomplish their charitable goals at a talk from 9-11 a.m. May 8
in the North Ballroom of the Lory Student Center at Colorado
State. The event is free, but reservations are recommended by
calling (970) 491-7328.
"This is a special opportunity for people to learn more
about how they can best direct their finances to areas they're
most interested in," said Art Bavoso, director of planned giving
at Colorado State. "Scott Fithian was rated the No. 1 speaker in
the nation by the National Committee on Planned Giving because of
his dynamic presentations and straightforward, no-nonsense
discussions of philanthropic estate planning."
Fithian, a graduate of the University of New Hampshire
Whitmore School of Business and Economics, received designations
of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant
from the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pa.
Fithian's consulting company specializes in philanthropic
estate planning for individuals and families, professional
financial advisers and the nonprofit community.
Continental breakfast begins at 9 a.m., followed by
Fithian's presentation at 9:30 a.m.
